About Dr. Frankeny
Dr. Frankeny
After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Frankeny
completed an internship in equine medicine and surgery and a
residency in equine surgery at the University of Missouri.  she then
took a position as surgeon at an equine practice in Reno, Nevada
where she practiced for nine years.  After realizing the need for
home care of small animals, she spent two years honing her small
animal medical and surgical skills at practices in the Reno and
Harrisburg areas.  In addition to her clinical duties, Dr. Frankeny
was an adjunct professor at the University of Nevada, Reno, has
written numerous articles for veterinary journals, and is the author of
Miniature Horses: A Veterinary Guide for Owners and Breeders.  Dr.
Frankeny has a Masters degree in veterinary surgery and is a
Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgery.

A west coast
native and retired police officer, Mike now fills his time with running the
practice, managing the farm, and beekeeping.
